Billie Jo, a proud native of Texas, is a dedicated songwriter and recording artist who blends traditional country vocals with honest songs. She has won numerous singing competitions, including the prestigious Texas Country Music Hall of Fame John Ritter Tribute Showcase in 2013, and has shared the stage with Gene Watson, Linda Davis, Barbara Fairchild, and The Oakridge Boys.
A personal highlight was opening for Ray Price, one of her biggest inspirations as a young, aspiring artist. Other artists she has opened for include Justin Moore, Wade Bowen, Cody Canada, Joe Stampley, Chris Colston, Pat Green, Stoney LaRue, Roger Creager, Sam Riggs, and many others.
Billie Jo was recently featured on the Real Country TV show. While filming in Nashville, Billie Jo was hand-picked by Shania Twain to compete on her team, advancing to the Top 14. Billie Jo has also been featured on The Voice and on American Idol.
Billie Jo released her debut single “Favorite Place To Be” in 2018, an original composition that was nominated for Song of The Year at the Texas Country Music Awards in 2019. That same year, Billie Jo was also nominated for Female Vocalist of The Year. Her subsequent singles, “It Scares Me” and “Simpler Way Of Life” also received critical acclaim including a #53 spot on the Texas country music charts. Billie Jo’s latest single entitled “Forever Came Today” is another original composition recorded and released by the artist in 2021.
Billie Jo continues to perform live shows across Texas and beyond. Her heartfelt songwriting, incredible vocal talent, and energetic live performances have established Billie Jo as a true Texas country music treasure.
