Marisa D’Amato is a Maltese country singer, radio and TV presenter and producer.
She released her first country album “Makin’ Believe” in 2002.
Marisa had the opportunity to sing in Louisiana and Tennessee where she performed in a concert with flatpicking champion, guitar player Steve Kaufmann and Dolly Parton’s banjo player (of The Blueniques) Gary Davis. A few months later, Marisa released her second album, “Country Heart & Soul”.
In February 2004, she released her third album “Heartaches & Roses” that includes duets with J.J. Johns from the Netherlands and local country singer Araldo. In 2006 she released her fourth album “My Kind Of Country” that includes three of her original tracks.
In 2007 she toured Australia for seven weeks, giving shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. That same year she also performed in Ireland and the UK. Her 2008 UK second tour was very successful, with performances in leading Country Music Festivals and clubs in Wolverhampton, Derby, Blackpool, Stoke, Poole and Birchwood.
In 2009 Marisa did her second Australian tour, for six weeks. In 2013 she also toured in the UK and Canada and Denmark. In 2017 and 2018, Marisa was awarded for Best International Country Artist and Best Irish Country Album from an International Artist at the Hot Country Awards in Co. Cavan, Ireland.
Marisa is one of the performing artists of The Phil Mack Country weekends. She is very proud of her country and the beauty of the Maltese islands is captured on all her music videos.
Apart from her singing career, Marisa hosts a daily radio show on Malta’s leading radio Station, One Radio, and produces and presents Country Jamboree and Music Legends for Spotlight TV in Maltese and English respectively.
Marisa is also a CMA member which is the worldwide association for country music.
