Muriel O’Connor is an award-winning entertainer, recognised by her peers and audiences alike as one of the great Irish entertainers.
In recent times she has been an award recipient at The Sunday World Music Awards, picking up the Female Entertainer of the Year award from The Farmer’s Journal, as well as multiple awards from several radio stations. The Muriel O’Connor stage show is legendary and she always gives 100% to every performance.
She has recorded four albums and enjoyed airplay hits with songs such as Hillbilly Rock, Whatever You Say Say Nothing, and Waltzing An Angel. However it was the duet ‘Something Blue’ that took the radio world by storm, the song becoming one of the most played Irish songs in 2015.
Muriel has worked with many top names in Irish entertainment including Jimmy Buckley, Mick Flavin, Paddy O’Brien and Trudi Lalor, as well as touring extensively with Ireland’s greatest comedian Brendan Grace.
She continues to tour Ireland as one of the big attractions and performs regularly in the UK, making frequent appearances on television and radio. She performs with session keyboard player and record producer Fran Curry, who spent many years with the legendary folk group The Bards.
