Country star Trisha Yearwood has expressed her delight after overcoming coronavirus.
We reported on 25 February that Yearwood had tested positive for COVID-19 and had entered isolation with her husband Garth Brooks, following tests carried out just hours before the couple were due to co-host American TV show ‘Ellen’.
But now, the 56-year-old singer has confirmed that she no longer has COVID, following her latest test for the virus.
In a post shared to Facebook, she said: “Don’t they say good news comes in 3s??!!”
“1) I got the official news that I am covid negative. Thank you for all your love, support messages and sweet tweets!
“2) My incredible husband is literally Superman and never got covid – but still took all the precautions to keep everyone we know and love safe!”
She then shared a selfie, in which she holds up her upcoming cookbook “Trisha’s Kitchen”, which is due to be released in September.
Talking about the book, she said: “I think I was really born for cooking in quarantine, because I was raised on the theory that simple is better.
“My pantry holds basics that I use daily, so when faced with being home and not going to the grocery store, I knew I could make meals out of what I had in my freezer.”
The book is set to feature what are described as “real recipes” with “simple ingredients”.
